This is the kind of place I wish was in my neighborhood. Its only a couple of tables tucked away in the back of a Russian deli/bakery, but just about everything we had there was delicious. Best borscht I've had outside of eastern Europe. Piroshki came hot and fresh right out of the oven. Service was friendly and with a smile. Wish we'd left room for some of the baked goods, they looked delicious. Will definitely be back.

One would think that having been raised in Brooklyn, I would have encountered much more Russian food, but no, I lived near a Polish region and ate a lot of Polish food. So sadly, my decision making process of what to eat when we ordered came down to what sounded yummy. Firstly, this location is a bit hidden. You'd could easily drive by it and not even know it's there. Even when in the complex it sometimes looks closed, don't fall for this, they just happen to have heavily tinted windows as the sun beams directly in here in the late afternoon. If driving from Aloma or South Semoran, you can just turn right into the complex, if you're driving from points north, you're better off turning left on Casselton Dr. Secondly, this literally is a bakery, store, and restaurant. At first glace, you'll just see bakery and store, which has many a great items and fridges filled with some awesome looking meats and even hot dogs in their casing (calling all NY hot dogs lover who love having their dogs snapping when you bite into them). But the restaurant is to the right with just few booth seats (convenient if you're swinging by for a quick lunch) as well as a large seating area in the back of the store. Now the food, its a small menu and my limited experience with Russian food doesn't help in my regards to how it should taste/be prepared, but I went with how happy were my taste buds and tummy while eating and lets just say I wish I had more... which then of course led to us ordering dessert too. This is very rare and having chosen the Karina cake (layered honey and butter cream cake), I was so glad we finally decided to dine here. I will absolutely be returning here for some food shopping, especially around the holidays! It was a great local find that has been a hidden (and well recognized) gem!

Some work friends and I decided to try this place, as it was rather close to our job, and none of us had ever enjoyed Polish/Russian food before. It's a small little place, mostly consisting of a grocery store, but there's also a small area to eat. While we waited for our food, we browsed the shop and found many interesting food items. If one is looking for Polish/Russian food staple items, it would be in your best interest to visit. The four of us each had a different item, but shared. I ordered the stuffed cabbage leaves. What I didn't realize was that my mom made these a lot while I was growing up, due to our ethnic background. They were delicious and definitely tasted fresh and made from scratch. Even the china there feels small and authentic. The only thing I didn't like about this little place was that they automatically added 18% gratuity for our little table of four. I thought that was rather presumptuous, especially since it took a really long time to get our food. I'll be back, though, when I'm craving stuffed cabbage and have more time.

Stopped by for lunch and was excitedly surprised. They have all kinds of pastries, cookies, sweet treats, spices, canned fish, pickles, a whole shelf dedicated to jarred mushrooms, even an awesome deli case with meats and cheese. The menu for their restaurant is small and simple. From pickles to borscht to sandwiches and stuffed cabbage. The prices? Awesome. Big bowl of borscht is only $4.50!! The service is friendly, the prices are good, the setting is really adorable (reminds me of Germany, even though it's Russian) Go check this place out and keep them in business. Orlando needs more spots like this. And heck, Rachael Ray even stopped by there for one of her shows foodnetwork.com/40-a-day… , for what it's worth. You'll definitely get full on a budget here. They do have a $10 minimum on credit/debit though, but who can blame em with those hefty fees.

Great for being in the middle of nowhere! Delicious Russian Sodas. I came here simply because the Russian-American consulate meets right next door. The chocolates here are Great!! The only reason they wont get that last star is because they don't have smoked salmon for breakfast! I was craving a lox bagel and realized they do not cater to the Jewish Russian's. HmMmM, maybe after reading this they might consider it. There is nothing better than a Jewish Russian Breakfast...time to catch on/ Lacomka!

Went here a few weeks ago thinking that we would try their restaurant. I am always on the hunt for beet soup. When we went in, the person working there was talking to a customer and did not greet us. (The same exact scenario played out at another eastern European grocer which has since closed...) Maybe we just have bad luck with being welcomed at these places. We looked at the goodies on the shelves and spotted the dining area. It was just way too quiet and awkward feeling in there so we just got some candy and jam and left. I am happy this place is here though and hope it continues to do well. We may go back and try the restaurant so I can update my review.

oh heck yeah! Having taken a rare day off from our work, I decided we needed to try something "different" for lunch. I had read reviews of Lacomka before and had been itching to try. We have traveled to Russia before and enjoyed the cuisine there, so let's see how this is! We started off with the Pickles assortment as an appetizer, seeing as we skipped breakfast, were late for lunch, and were hungry. The assortment of pickled tomatoes and cucumbers was spot on! There were shredded carrots on top, and we think those were pickled too, and they were great! My husband ordered the stuffed cabbage ("golubtsy"), which was completely and amazingly impressive and flavorful. I opted for the meat dumplings ("pelmeni"), which were awesome as well. I cannot believe it, but we ate everything we ordered.. which is rare for us at lunchtime. Everything was just absolutely delicious and so super authentic! The staff working in here were also super friendly and very attentive. We chose an assortment of dumplings for the freezer at home. We will definitely return sometime soon!!

Nice little gem of a restaurant and bakery. We have eaten here several times. We have ordered the Russian cuisine for our Olympic opening ceremony dinner! The poppy seed bread, honey and cream cake, borsch, and vareniki are delicious.

As far as I could find (as of this posting date), Lacomka Bakery & Deli is the only Russian restaurant in Orlando proper. Lucky for us then that it is truly traditional Russian. Located in a quiet plaza on the East side of Winter Park, Lacomka has a modest size shop featuring charming gift items like Matrjoshkas (nesting dolls) as well as a wonderful variety of meats, cheeses, jellies, candies, and bakery items. The restaurant menu is small but each item is delicious. Portions are large for lunch and just big enough for dinner. Favorites at the table were pelmeni (meat dumplings) and cheese blintzes. Both were incredible and worth going back for again and again. For dessert we chose homemade chocolate cake, honey cake, and a napoleon. The favorite was the napoleon - my foodie friend described the pastry as "perfection". Lacomka is the perfect choice for a Saturday afternoon day-of-shopping stop for a late lunch or early dinner followed by a browse through the gift shop. A very refreshing choice over the fast-food and restaurant chains Orlando is smothered with. Na zdorovje!

Yesterday evening an old Russian friend invited me over for dinner. I was welcomed into her home with a big smile and proceeded to have a delicious and filling meal. I took a moment after eating to explore all her Russian wares. Then, before heading for home, I...paid the bill? No wait. I wasn't at a friend's house. I was at Lacomka Russian Bakery and Deli. Oops, got confused. Yeah, this place is that pleasantly wonderful. I don't know anything about Russian food, but I do know this place is Russian and the food was delicious. The prices are great. We ordered a ton of stuff off the menu and got some cakes for home all for around 50 bucks. The borscht was savory; the blinchikis were succulent; the pelmini and liliani were bona fide tastebud parties. And dessert was super yum. We had the karina and napoleon. One warning, though: Russian desserts aren't super duper sweet. I loved that, but if you're into diabetic coma-inducing desserts, then you may be a bit disappointed at first. But not for long, because the desserts are so fresh and rich, you'll get over it. This place is definitely worth an evening out to this remote part of Winter Park. I'll be back and soon!

I have used them as a wedding cake bakery. My cake was delicious and very moist. The staff was very easy to work with and really made my wedding day special.

it was not the Ukrainian/Russian cuisine that we were used too. overall disappointing.

Lacomka is one of those neighborhood gems that you can't help but appreciate and support. When you first walk in you will notice on your right that 2 booths are aligned with the front window. The deli case is to the right side with the register at the adjoining corner. I didn't have any expectations walking in, so when I did I couldn't believe how much candy was in front of me! There was a sweet display right in front of the entrance and more chocolates in the aisles, on the front counter, and behind the front counter! I was gifted Russian chocolate before so to find a store that carries such a variety of imported Russian chocolate is such a treat. After snapping out of my chocolate trance, I went to the front counter and asked if we ordered food at the counter or table. A sweet elderly lady smiled at me and led us to their dining area in the back of the store. We made our choices and then decided to browse the store as we waited. Side note, the food took a little while to prepare so don't come if you are in a hurry. After we made a note of all the things we wanted to buy, we sat back down to be served blinchiki that had cute dollops of sour cream. The blinchiki are thin pancakes/crepes with a savory meat filling. Our entrees were pelmeni and tour of Russia sandwich. The pemeni reminded me of pierogies, but with a different textured pasta wrapper. The sandwich was delicious as well, especially with whatever cheese that they used in there. After you eat, you just pay the total up front. I walked away from Lacomka with some chocolate for upcoming Valentine's gifts, cured meats, and of course a slice of dessert for later. A successful outcome for a 1st time visit!

For our first time having Russian food was very good. We, my husband and I, were happy with the service. People are very nice and very friendly. Although I got my stuffed cabbage first we had to wait about 5-8 min for my husband meat dish to come out. I wish they would of waited and had both dishes served together. Overall, it was a nice experience.

This place has grown! Coming after a couple of years! I came for kefir and saw they have a restaurant now! Menu is nice, elaborate and healthy! Must try. Picked up the kefir!

We came here when we were feeling adventurous and wanted a change of pace, so why not try some Russian food!!! I have to say everything was pretty good and better that I'd anticipated. This is Sort of a grocery store specializing in Russian products, deli and lots chocolates and a variety of other sweets, homemade pastries and you can even buy caviar! There are about 6 tables if you would like sit and order food. The menu is small but I love that they added pictures so that you can see what you're getting if you aren't familiar with their cuisine. Also the fact that my order was taken by a grandma and then she went and prepare the food herself was awesome!!! For appetizzer We ordered the blinchiki (Russian pancakes rolled with meat and mushrooms) and they were awesome, very light and tasty. I also had the traditional borscht soup (beet soup) and I though it was good, def different. Also had golubtsy (the stuffed cabbage) it is stuffed with rice and ground beef in case you are wondering. It served smother in a yummy sauce. It was very good and fresh. Last but not least we had the "luliaki" meat balls and they were banging! They are Hugeee, tender and DELECIOUS. They are topped with red onions which go perfect with the meat balls. Oh almost forgot the honey cake! It was very tasty, light and fluffy and your actually taste like honey. We really enjoyed it. Let's be real, Russian don't have the best track record for being the nicest individuals but here they were super nice and friendly always smiling and attentive. I most likely will be back in the future when I'm in the mood for something different.

This is my first visit here. It is more of a deli but they do have table service in the back. I started with the mushrooms and had the Golutsby for an entree. The mushrooms weren't very good but the cabbage rolls were good but get the sour cream on the side. They put too much on them. They are meaty and good. I would come back for them.

Choice of goods is very limited comparing to other Russian/European stores I've being to. Service needs a lot of improvement. Nobody knows how to properly slice deli products (after being in business for some years?!) and they don't even remove cellophane outer wrap! You are paying through the nose for that too! Just like in old Soviet era grocery stores - Gastronoms! Also, highest prices I ever encountered in any Russian store in many cities in over 10 states! I guess lack of competition can be blamed for that. I hope to see more coming to Orlando area soon!

Cool imported goods and friendly ladies behind the counter. The blinis, pelmeni, russian ice cream and juice boxes are delicious. But slowwwwww service and I ordered 4 items from their restaurant which totaled up to $30 something dollars (and bought $60+ in groceries) and the cashier told me I should tip even though I ordered to go because the chef in the back spent a lot of time making the food and it was hard work. Made me totally uncomfortable trying to decline tipping. Won't be coming back.

Lacomka is a great change from all of the chain restaurants in Orlando. This store reminds me of the small Polish deli/grocery stores we had in my home town and the surrounding areas (I grew up in New Jersey). The menu is limited (small) but that is good since you aren't overwhelmed with the choices. I had the Russian "meat balls" and my wife had the beef blintzes. The food was tasty but the service is SLOW. And like others posted, they automatically add 18% to the bill as gratuity. Granted I am normally a 20% tipper but I still like to chose the amount to tip. Lastly, we had a coupon and it took 3 people to figure out how to process it. They were patient, but even after one of the waitresses said all was good, another person came out and challenged the coupon. The Russian grocery store is impressive. Some of the foods were reasonably priced but other imported foods were crazy expensive. I didn't know Russian chocolate was so tasty!
